Fulton Public Schools Families,
This year has brought us into uncharted territory due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are living a part of history that will be talked and written about for years to come. While this is and has been challenging, I am confident Fulton Public Schools is taking the extraordinary measures needed to support our students and community. We are doing everything we can to get our students and staff back to school safely including providing personal protective equipment, increased sanitation, health screening, and changes to building schedules. A virtual opportunity has been provided for those who are not able or comfortable returning to school.
If we are forced to pivot to distance learning we have a plan. Staff and administration worked throughout the summer learning from experiences this spring and preparing to meet students and parent needs moving forward. FPS has been diligent in our attempts to prepare for all scenarios and serve our students. One thing we know, it will take everyone including parents, students, and staff doing their part. This includes personal protective equipment when appropriate, social distancing, personal screening before coming to school, and staying home when necessary.
FPS staff is here and excited to continue teaching and building positive relationships with students. Despite the challenges beyond our control in 2020, we remain committed to preparing students for the future. This too shall pass and we will get through this together.
It is ALWAYS a great day to be a Hornet!
