Welcome to Developmental Language Arts and to the 2015/2016
This school year will undoubtedly be filled with new and exciting things, starting with your first days in high school. Try to remember that all of the teachers and staff are here to help you make the adjustment to a new school, and don't hesitate to ask for help and guidance. We are so glad to have you with us!
Let me take a minute to introduce myself. I'm Mrs. Melody Hapner, and this is my fourth year teaching English at Fulton High School. I absolutely love being a Hornet! After leaving the Air Force in 2007, my husband and I moved to Fulton, and I just knew that I was meant to teach at this school. I'm originally from Saginaw, Michigan; but after having been in the Air Force for nearly 10 years, I have been all over the world, so Fulton is the first place I've really called home since I graduated from high school. I have four children, ages 16, 14, 6, and 2. We also have a miniature schnauzer named, Toby.
I'm looking forward to this school year -- meeting all of the incoming freshmen and learning with them. Over the course of this school year, we will delve into some thought-provoking literature and hone our writing skills in preparation for future high school and college English courses and writing requirements. You will leave my class with better communication skills that will serve as the foundation for future success!
