Hi! My name is Megan Metz and I am a Reading Specialist at McIntire Elementary. This is my ninth year teaching. I spent the first five years teaching first grade. I graduated from the University of Missouri in 2009 with a bachelors degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. In 2012 I graduated from Mizzou with a Masters in Literacy Education. In 2015, I graduated from William Woods with my Specialist in Literacy and Instruction.
I have two children, Wyatt Carl and Lizzy Sue. I love spending time with them. Lizzy Sue loves to dance and Wyatt loves nothing more than being on the farm!
I am also very passionate about the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. My little girl, Lizzy Sue, was diagnosed with CF when she was two years old. I spend a lot of time raising awareness and money for Lizzy's Lifesavers, in search of a cure for CF.
My husband and I have two children who are our world. Wyatt is four and is in his first year of preschool. Lizzy is two and just started dance class. We live on a cattle farm and enjoy being outdoors. Our little girl, Lizzy has Cystic Fibrosis and we are very passionate about being involved and raisning money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Children's Miracle Network.
