Call for 2018 Outstanding Service in Education Award Nominations

DAVID W. WHITE OUTSTANDING SERVICE IN EDUCATION AWARD

The David W. White Outstanding Service in Education Award is to recognize an individual in the district who demonstrates excellence of character, performance, leadership, and service.

Any employee or resident of the Fulton School District is eligible to nominate or be nominated for this
award. When nominating someone, consideration should be given to accomplishments, service to youth,
community involvement and contributions to the Fulton School District. The completed nomination should
profile persons who have demonstrated outstanding performance. Award recipients contribute more than is
expected and stand out among peers. The award is named in honor and memory of David W. White, who was a recipient in 1995 and 2002. Mr. White exemplified all of the attributes of the Outstanding Service in Education Award.

Listed below are those eligible to be nominated:
Educational Personnel - teachers and administrators
Educational Support Personnel - non-teaching professional staff, nurses, secretaries, clerical and classroom
aides, transportation, food service, custodians, maintenance, child-care givers
Community Members/Parents – school/coach volunteers, PTO members, community members who have
made a significant contribution

The deadline for receiving nominations is Friday, March 23, 2018. All nominations will be acknowledged by email. A selection committee, consisting of administrators, teachers, support personnel and parents/citizens of the district will choose the award recipient.

Nomination forms will require the name and pertinent information of the person submitting the nomination,
the name and pertinent information of the person nominated, along with a list of accomplishments, honors,
service to youth, community involvement, contributions to the Fulton School District, personal qualifications,
length of service and other supporting comments. Nomination forms will also include an area to describe why
the nominator feels this person would be a worthy recipient of the David W. White Outstanding Service in
Education Award.
